A Message from the CEO.

Each issue of Health Traxx opens with commentary from the Trust’s CEO, Peter Alpert. Each message is geared towards encouraging participants to become more knowledgeable about and take a more active role in their health care.

Trust Tidbits.

This section provides important dates, times and deadlines that affect participants’ insurance statuses and/or relate to Trust programs, events and the Trust offices.

Feature Article.

In addition to discussion about past or upcoming Trust–sponsored events, each issue also features a main article that focuses on a health–related issue important to participants and/or making headlines at the time of the issue’s design and publication.

Focus on the Facts.

The “Focus on the Facts” section provides participants a forum in which to obtain answers to important health–related questions they have. The Trust staff conducts the necessary research to assure that each question is answered completely and accurately. Kids Korner

The community of Las Vegas does a lot more to support the children than many of us ever realize. The “Kids Korner” section is dedicated to providing visibility and support to the individuals and organizations that provide health–related programs for the youth of Las Vegas.

This section is dedicated to providing visibility to lesser–known benefits, offers and events that health care plans with the Teachers Health Trust cover. Take a look and see what benefits are available to you that might otherwise be overlooked.

Provided in an easy–to–read calendar format, this section highlights the holidays, events and deadlines relevant to participants’ schedules. Be sure to take time to mark these important dates on your personal calendar.

Ask the Editor.

The “Ask the Editor” section provides participants with the opportunity and means by which to let their voices be heard. Questions concerning health– and wellness–related issues as well as comments regarding what participants would like to see in future issues of Health Traxx can be expressed here. H.E.R.O.S.

The H.E.R.O.S. (Healthy Educators Representing Our Schools) section of Health Traxx highlights outstanding CCSD–licensed employees and/or groups who have achieved excellence as healthy educators.
