Lend a hand or talk to someone during this tragic time in our city

As our city begins the journey to heal emotionally and physically from the tragic event that took place on October 1, we want to make sure that the Teachers Health Trust participants know they have the support and resources available to ensure they are taken care of. Please read the resource list below in its entirety and share with your colleagues.

Emotional Assistance

The Teachers Health Trust has partnerships with the Human Behavior Network and MDLIVE to ensure no matter how you would like to discuss this event you have the avenue to do so.

MDLIVE offers you the opportunity to speak with a licensed therapist or counselor virtually via phone or face-to-face on your smartphone or computer. There is no out-of-pocket expense for this. You can call (866) 327-4873 or 1-800-770-5531 to speak with someone.

The Human Behavior Network (HBI) is our local partner for counselors and therapists in the Las Vegas Valley. If you or someone you know is in need of mental health services, call HBI at (702) 248-8866 (Option 1), and one of the client care coordinators will be happy to assist you.

Additionally, if you are experiencing a mental health crisis emergency, the crisis line is available 24 hours per day, 7 days per week at (702) 248-8866 (Option 7).

Physical Assistance

In the unfortunate event you sustained any injury of any kind, please know our first concern is your wellbeing. Should you have any benefits related questions, please call a member of the Service Team at (702) 794–0272. If you sustained any injury that will require follow up care, please call a Healthcare Advocate at (855) 404-9455. They will assist you with coordinating your care and help aid in your recovery.

For the next thirty days, all employees and their extended families living in areas impacted by the tragic event on the Strip will have free access to non-emergency medical support with Grand Rounds.

Here are some ways Grand Rounds can help:

  • Schedule an appointment to see a new doctor in a new area
  • Replace lost medical records
  • Provide guidance and medical support over the phone
  • Help determine if you need to see a doctor in person
  • Facilitating an expert second opinion
